SUMMARY:Deadline: 2024-25 Law School Professionalism Grant Applications
DESCRIPTION:2024-25 Law School Professionalism Grant\nThe Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division recognizes that law students with an understanding of professionalism are more likely to exhibit professional behavior as practicing attorneys. The Law School Professionalism Grant has been created to assist law students with funding of an event that promotes professionalism in the legal and law student community. Each Law School Affiliate may submit an application for a grant award of up to $500.00 to put on a professionalism event at their law school. Examples of past events include: hosting a panel on professionalism; hosting a judicial roundtable to allow law students\, members of the judiciary\, and lawyers to sit down together and discuss topics and issues related to professionalism in the local area; hosting an etiquette dinner; and hosting a professional headshot event. You are not limited to past ideas and we encourage applicants to come up with original ideas for new professionalism events. If you are looking for more inspiration on how to put together the perfect professionalism event\, please consult the Affiliate Program Idea Bank located at: /affiliates/law-school-grants/. \nEvents and programs submitted for these grants must relate to the practice of law\, e.g.\, how the event or program improves the practice of law in Florida. \nThe Young Lawyers Division does not fund projects that\, in the sole discretion of the YLD\, do not relate to the profession and the practice of law. Help us showcase your efforts for the betterment of your organization\, The Florida Bar\, and our profession. Failure to follow the requirements may result in rescission of the grants and may affect consideration of any future applications for grants. Applicants are encouraged to reach out to the Grants Committee throughout the application process to ensure their programs satisfy all requirements. \n+ APPLY ONLINE
