Deadline: Inclusion & Equality Grant Application
January 20, 2023
The purpose of the Inclusion and Equality Grant is to promote inclusion and equality in the legal profession by examining how lawyers uphold their oath to support the causes of the oppressed or defenseless. Young Lawyer Affiliates may host panel discussions or host speakers that discuss lawyers and their interaction and experience in the legal profession in areas such as, but not limited to, LGBTQ or disability rights issues, race or gender equality, immigration or other legal issues that affect minority groups; or create another event that promotes honoring an attorney’s oath to support the causes of the oppressed or defenseless. We encourage you to work with other Young Lawyers Affiliates and law schools to expand the reach of your program. Each Young Lawyer Affiliate may submit an application for a grant award up to $500.
Young Lawyer Affiliates must use the grant specific hashtag, #YLDisMe on all social media posts so that the Young Lawyers Division can help promote and market the event.
