DESCRIPTION:The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division recognizes that law students with an understanding of professionalism are more likely to exhibit professional behavior as practicing attorneys. The Law School Professionalism Grant has been created to assist law students with funding of an event that promotes professionalism in the legal and law student community. Each Law School Affiliate may submit an application for a grant award of up to $500.00 to put on a professionalism event at their law school. Examples of past events include: hosting a panel on professionalism; hosting a judicial roundtable to allow law students\, members of the judiciary\, and lawyers to sit down together and discuss topics and issues related to professionalism in the local area; hosting an etiquette dinner; and hosting a professional headshot event. You are not limited to past ideas and we encourage applicants to come up with original ideas for new professionalism events.
