SUMMARY:Diversity/Women's Initiative Grant Applications Due
DESCRIPTION:The purpose of the Diversity/Women’s Initiative Grant is to promote diversity and inclusion in the legal community. Each Local Bar Affiliate may submit an application for a grant award up to $500 towards an event that promotes or educates lawyers about diversity and inclusion. Affiliates may host panel discussions on bias in the legal profession; host speakers on civil rights issues\, immigration\, or other legal issues that affect women or minority groups; co-host a networking event with an affinity or minority bar association; or create another type of event that promotes inclusion and equality. \nTo submit your grant application\, email and electronic copy (via PDF) to Annika Ashton aashton@broward.org\, Michael Sasso masasso@sasso-law.com\, and Program Administrator Tom Miller\, tmiller@flabar.org.  Submitting an application will serve as authorization to post\, duplicate\, and/or disseminate all\, or portions of\, your application at the sole discretion of the YLD Board of Governors.
