The chairs of the Pro Bono Committee, Stephanie Myron and Eric Elms, are continuing their effort to positively impact local communities during YLD board meetings throughout Florida this year.  During the recent Affiliate Outreach Conference in St. Petersburg, the YLD collected 67 teddy bears and raised over $200.00 for Mended Little Hearts of St. Petersburg.

Mended Little Hearts is a national organization whose mission is to provide hope and support to children, families, and caregivers impacted by congenital heart defects in order to extend and improve quality of life.  They accomplish this mission by having support group meetings, participating in congenital heart defect awareness events, advocating on heart issues, and having social events for the affected families.
