The Local Bar Affiliate Committee is excited about our plans for the year. Our goals are to continue to develop our relationships with our affiliates, to improve how we promote the great things are affiliates are doing, and to find ways to encourage affiliates across the state to work together to accomplish incredible things.

We will be launching our Affiliate website 2.0 (www.flayldaffiliates.com) which will include – a message board for all affiliates to share ideas and participate in joint events, the ability to save past events on your page as an anthology of the wonderful things you are doing, and a counter that will accumulate all of the charitable giving, pro bono, CLE, and community services hours YLD affiliates are doing across the state. We plan on selecting affiliates of the month, projects of the month, member of the month, and events of the month to better showcase what our affiliates are doing.  We can accomplish so much more when we work together.

Additionally, we plan on forging stronger ties between our circuit representatives and their local affiliates leaders through semi-annual “State of the Circuit” meetings. We also plan on supporting our local government attorneys by hosting events designed to encourage their involvement in their local bar associations.

We have a big year planned and we hope your support will make it even bigger!
