Update from the Technology Committee

The Technology Committee is hitting the ground running! We have already scheduled four Technology Roadshows to take place throughout the state.  In case you hadn’t heard, the Technology Roadshow program offered by the YLD is a four-hour-long presentation put on by (in most cases) several speakers that includes topics such as:

Understanding Metadata and Your Ethical Responsibilities with your Legal Documents; How Practice Management Programs can Prevent Malpractice Claims; Securing Mobile Devices; and Recognizing and Addressing Common Security Threats to your Law Firm.  The program is good for 4 Technology CLE credits, and 2 Ethics CLE credits.

In addition to the speakers, the YLD provides reimbursement up to $600 for food.  Any local affiliate is welcome to host a Roadshow, and to keep any profits they make from charging admission.

If you are interested in bringing the Roadshow to your area, please contact YLD Board of Governors representative Jesse Butler at jbutler@dglawyers.com.  The current Roadshow schedule for 2019 is as follows:

Sept. 6             Citrus County

Oct. 31             Walton County

Nov. 1             Pensacola

Nov. 15           Osceola
