In her time as an Attorney, Jasmyne has been recognized as a Rising Star of Florida Politics by INFLUENCE magazine and was included in the National Bar Association’s class of 40 under 40: Nation’s Best Advocates. Currently, Jasmyne is a member of the seventh class of The Florida Bar’s William Reece Smith Leadership Academy and is a member of the thirty-seventh class of Leadership Tallahassee. Jasmyne also serves on the FSU College of Law Alumni Association’s Board of Directors and is the Immediate Past President of the Tallahassee Barristers Association. Jasmyne is a rising star in Florida with an enduring commitment to the community evidenced by her work with the Innovative Community Engagement (ICE) Foundation. She serves as Chairwoman of the Annual Pearls of Perfection Day at the Capitol. This program brings minority female teenagers from the Tallahassee community to advocate on behalf of important issues to members of the Florida Legislature. Her passion for community and politics inspired her to charter Biscuits and Ballots: An early voting initiative. Biscuits and Ballots, held in the 2018 primary and general elections, increased voter engagement and turnout for college students and young professionals. Going forward, Biscuits and Ballots will continue to encourage voter engagement in young and minority voters.
