I am most thankful today for…a healthy baby and wonderful husband.

When in need of a quick recharge I…go for a walk through downtown or grab a cup of coffee at the coffee shop downstairs – and drink it at the coffee shop without my phone. A brief “disconnect” can do wonders!

When I’m feeling stressed I…make a To Do List. Getting organized can help with productivity, which in turns lowers that feeling of stress.

When I can’t fall asleep I…read the Wall Street Journal.

My preferred method of exercise is…running or lifting weights.

The most important thing in my life is…family.

The first thing I do when I wake up is…pray.

I am most productive during the day when I…workout in the morning.

The best advice I’ve received about balancing work and life is…set reasonable expectations for yourself.

The one thing I would tell a stressed out and overwhelmed lawyer is…don’t lose perspective. Each case is not your last; there will always be a new challenge. Take a deep breath and embrace the challenge, don’t let it scare you.

Every day I make sure to…be thankful and tell my husband I love him.

The best way to deal with a difficult colleague or opposing counsel is…not to take it personally. Always be respectful and above-board.

I keep my priorities straight by…living with intention. Taking time out regularly for yourself is key. Whether it’s a few minutes each day or a formal routine, spending time focusing on you and finding peace with yourself is critical to knowing who you are and what is most important to you.

My favorite music is…country, unless I’m working out, then it’s pop.

The last time I cried tears of joy was…when I heard my baby’s heartbeat for the first time.

The most gratifying part about my job is…constantly being challenged.

The best life lesson I ever learned was…your reputation in this career is everything. Always keep your integrity a priority.

The best way to promote health & wellness among lawyers is… to allow flexibility in schedules to provide time for these activities.

I am currently reading…“The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks”

The happiest lawyers are those that…don’t take themselves too seriously.

If I weren’t a lawyer I would be…a chef or a teacher.

Law schools should teach…how to manage clients and their expectations.
