The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division (“YLD”) announces the launch of its webpage to support the Florida Supreme Court’s new Supervised Practice Program, which allows certain recent law school graduates and applicants to The Florida Bar the opportunity to work under the supervision of licensed Florida attorneys who have been practicing for at least five years.

The YLD’s webpage will assist bar applicants, supervising lawyers, and law firms to navigate the Supervised Practice Program through the following resources:

• Guidance from the Florida Board of Bar Examiners: Watch a webinar from the Florida Board of Bar Examiners’ General Counsel about what to expect from the program
• Firm/Lawyer Registration: Sign up to become a supervising lawyer or firm, where you have the opportunity to employ or supervise a law graduate looking for work. Your information will be displayed for bar applicants to view and contact you.
• Student Graduate: Qualifying bar applicants can visit the webpage and find lawyers in their area willing to supervise them.
• Frequently Asked Questions: Learn everything you need to know about the Supervised Practice Program, including the Florida Supreme Court’s Administrative Order, how to qualify, and regular updates about the program.

Through the webpage, the YLD hopes to match future YLD members with supervising attorneys and resources, and assist participating attorneys, firms, and organizations in order to make the Supervised Practice Program a success. To reach lawyers and students across all backgrounds and practice areas, the YLD encourages voluntary bar associations and law school Affiliates to promote its webpage with their members, and to get attorneys, organizations, and firms to register on the webpage.
