About Us
The Brevard County Young Lawyers Division is an organization that helps bridge the gap between not only lawyers of different practice, but between the legal community and the community at large. Our Board of Directors consists of a President, President-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer, and four Member-at-Large positions who serve one year terms. The overarching goal of Brevard County “YLD” is to host events that encourage networking between all areas of law and to give back to our community. Our most notable networking event happens every May with the Judicial Roundtable, where a panel of judges answer questions from lawyers from all legal backgrounds over a catered lunch. We are known for organizing happy hours, sponsored by different firms throughout the community that foster an atmosphere of camaraderie as well as networking. Currently, YLD is also shifting focus to highlight philanthropic opportunities throughout the year benefiting many different areas of the community, from homeless shelters to organizations that help at risk youth. We also make it a priority to promote mental health awareness in our profession by hosting events such as yoga classes and beach walks. Come join the fun! Interested new members, or current members who need to renew their membership can contact Bailey Shadburn at brevardcountyyld@gmail.com.
