Founded in 1995, the Colombian American Bar Association (COLBAR) is a voluntary bar association comprising lawyers, judges, and law students from South Florida’s legal community. COLBAR is dedicated to advancing the civic and professional interests of Colombian American attorneys and their colleagues while addressing the legal needs of the Colombian American community in South Florida and beyond.

In its commitment to fostering the next generation of legal professionals, COLBAR has established chapters at multiple universities in Florida and welcomes students from institutions across the country, including Illinois, New York, New Jersey, and California. The goal of COLBAR is to support Colombian students during their formative years in law school and to promote representation within the legal field. Through advocacy, education, and networking opportunities, COLBAR creates a supportive environment for its members and enhances the legal profession’s role in serving the diverse Colombian American population.
