The purpose of Virgil Hawkins Bar Association, Inc shall be to recognize and increase the contributions of African-American within the legal profession and judiciary; improve professional relationships among and between members of the Bar, the Judiciary and the public while, upholding and maintaining the integrity of the legal profession. Regardless of race, sex, religious beliefs or sexual orientation, Virgil Hawkins Bar Association seeks to improve the administration of justice for all individuals by expanding access to the court system, protecting their respective civil, criminal and political rights; and educate members of the community on the need of self-empowerment and determination.
