The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division is looking for young lawyers who display the highest standards of professionalism and ethics, whose character and integrity remain unwavering even in the most trying times, and whose dedication to raising the bar in the legal profession is unmatched. While the term “professionalism” is broad enough to defy a singular, concise definition, if you know a young lawyer who has created a professional reputation worthy of recognition, we want to hear from you!
Eligibility Requirements
Must be 36 years of age or younger and a member of the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division (“YLD”) at the time of the nomination deadline;
Must be a member in good standing with The Florida Bar;
Must exemplify the highest standards of professionalism in practice;
Must be nominated by at least one other lawyer through the form linked on the YLD website;
No self-nominations will be accepted;
Multiple people can submit nominations for the same nominee; and
Substantively incomplete nominations will not be reviewed – Please note that each question on the form must be fully completed and applicable responses must include specific examples of the nominee’s demonstrated professionalism.
Current members of the YLD Board of Governors are not eligible for this award; and
Past 36 Under Thirty-Six Award recipients are not eligible for nomination. Such submissions will not be reviewed. Please note that past nominees who have not received the 36 Under Thirty-Six Award may be nominated and will be considered.
