The purpose of the Diversity/Women’s Initiative Grant is to promote diversity and inclusion in the legal community. Each Local Bar Affiliate may submit an application for a grant award up to $500 towards an event that promotes or educates lawyers about diversity and inclusion. Affiliates may host panel discussions on bias in the legal profession; host speakers on civil rights issues, immigration, or other legal issues that affect women or minority groups; co-host a networking event with an affinity or minority bar association; or create another type of event that promotes inclusion and equality.

To submit your grant application, email and electronic copy (via PDF) to Annika Ashton aashton@broward.org, Michael Sasso masasso@sasso-law.com, and Program Administrator Tom Miller, tmiller@flabar.org.  Submitting an application will serve as authorization to post, duplicate, and/or disseminate all, or portions of, your application at the sole discretion of the YLD Board of Governors. Please title your PDF Submission using the name of your affiliate and the type of grant for which you are applying.
