2024-25 Professionalism All Around This Fall Grant

Gather around for a roundtable! This grant is designed to bring young lawyers together with the judiciary in a setting that allows for an open forum or discussion about professionalism, generally. This could be a panel-style event with a Q&A follow-up, or could be a true roundtable program with different topics or members of the judiciary moderating the discussion at each table. With the term “professionalism” encompassing so many aspects of the practice of law, your program could be tailored to anything from “Courtroom Etiquette for New Lawyers 101” to “Maintaining a Trustworthy Trust Account.”

Events and programs submitted for these grants must relate to the practice of law, e.g., how the event or program improves the practice of law in Florida.

The Young Lawyers Division does not fund projects that, in the sole discretion of the YLD, do not relate to the profession and the practice of law. Help us showcase your efforts for the betterment of your organization, The Florida Bar, and our profession. Failure to follow the requirements may result in rescission of the grants and may affect consideration of any future applications for grants. Applicants are encouraged to reach out to the Grants Committee throughout the application process to ensure their programs satisfy all requirements.
