Spring Grant Application Deadline

Mentorship Grant Application
Mentorship provides young lawyers with a multifaceted support system, aiding them in their career development, substantive knowledge, and personal growth. Having a mentor ensures that young lawyers receive the guidance, wisdom, and resources necessary to thrive in the competitive and often challenging legal field. For the Mentorship Grant, the Young Lawyers Division (YLD) encourages Affiliates to put on an event that focuses on connecting young lawyers with more experienced attorneys to forge mentoring relationships, including but not limited to events like speed mentoring. Each Affiliate may submit one grant application requesting an award of up to $500.00.

Joint Event Grant Application
The purpose of the Joint Event Grant is to encourage Affiliates to partner with each other or other organizations to collaborate in the planning and execution of events that improve the quality of legal services, encourage professionalism in the legal profession, and/or provide networking opportunities for young lawyers with others in the legal community.  Each Affiliate may submit one grant application requesting an award of up to $500.00. The award should be used to plan and promote a joint event.  While the Young Lawyers Division (YLD) encourages Affiliates to get creative with their events, Affiliates must stay within the scope of the grant to qualify for grant funds.
