This grant is designed to make an impact in your community, whether that is through some sort of service project or bringing the holidays to children in a month other than December. Important caveats to this grant. Your organization cannot act as a mere passthrough for the funds, meaning you cannot receive the grant money and then turn around and write a check to an organization for the same amount. The funds must be expended by your organization, whether that means buying toys for distribution, purchasing food for the participants, or buying supplies for a craft station.
Each Local Bar Affiliate may submit one application for a grant award up to $500.00 towards an event meeting the above parameters. Grants will be announced in April and awarded on or around May 1, 2021. Affiliates must post the event on the Find an Affiliate website and use the hashtag #flayld in all social media posts related to the event.
